    The theme smart cities and smart homes has drawn more than 500 guests to Nordic Edge Expo in Stavanger. The conference came to be in a short amount of time, but has managed a good programme and receives credits for great organization.

    Millions in support for smart grid

    Lyse Elnett has received NOK 15 million in support from Enova for a project to build and test a smart grid – the electricity network of the future. A total of 30 network stations in central parts of Stavanger and Sandnes will become fully automated using the new technology.

    New name for Lyse

    The Lyse Group has gone from producing and distributing electricity to getting a strong foothold within telecom and IT. Therefore the group changes name from Lyse Energi AS to Lyse AS.

    Lyse Group had a net profit of 2.2 billion in 2014. Divestment in the LNG business area and listing of unrealised foreign exchange gains on long-term power contracts contribute to an unusually high profit in a year characterised by low power prices.

    The two most eco friendly ships in the world run on LNG from Risavika in Rogaland. The cruise ships Bergensfjord and Stavangerfjord top the international list of over 3000 ships.
